Here we are.
The intent of this blog is to hopefully keep track of my progress toward being a really solid game designer.
In that respect, there’s this:
It’s as good a place to start as any, I think! With some industry professionals and teachers breaking down a LOT of required and preferred skills.
It’s also a good place to start with the Icarus metaphor, I suppose. The idea is that I’ve got wings of wax as I fly toward the sun of awesome game design. I plan on having those wings melt and falling, and making better wings. The goal isn’t to fly, it’s to make an awesome pair of wings.
So this will do as a starting point, yes.
